Privacy Policy, Consent to Process

This DPA (Data Privacy Addendum) applies to EventSchedule.com and all associated subdomains owned and operated by Event Schedule.

It also describes your options in deleting/purging your data permanently from Event Schedule in compliance with GDPR. Personal Identifiable Information (PII) is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual. PII is provided directly to us through your account registration & use.


Security Procedures & Encryption

Security procedures and encryption are in place to protect your data and safeguard your privacy.

1. Data Security Measures

We take the security of user data seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

2. Encryption

All data transmitted between our systems and users is encrypted using industry-standard encryption protocols (HTTPS/TLS). Sensitive data is encrypted at rest where applicable.

3. Access Controls

Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only and is protected through authentication, role-based access controls, and least-privilege principles.

4. Google User Data

Data obtained from Google APIs is used solely to provide the features explicitly requested by the user and is handled in accordance with Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. No Unauthorized Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share Google user data with third parties except as necessary to operate the service or as required by law.

6. Data Retention

We retain Google user data only for as long as necessary to provide our services or until the user revokes access, after which the data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Breach Response

In the event of a data security incident, we take immediate steps to mitigate risk, investigate the issue, and comply with applicable legal notification requirements.

  • We regularly review and update our security practices to maintain a high level of data protection.
  • We use reputable cloud infrastructure providers that comply with industry-recognized security standards.
  • Users may revoke Google account access at any time through their Google Account settings.


Use of Google Calendar Data

Our application may access and process data from your Google Calendar only after you explicitly authorize access through Google’s OAuth consent process.

We use Google Calendar data solely to provide and improve the core functionality of our services, such as:

  • Viewing calendar events

  • Creating, updating, or deleting events at your request

  • Synchronizing schedules

  • Supporting reminders, notifications, or availability features explicitly enabled by you.

 

*We do not use Google Calendar data for advertising, marketing, or profiling purposes.


Google Calendar Data Storage & Retention

  • Google Calendar data is stored only as long as necessary to provide the requested functionality.

  • We retain the minimum amount of data required to operate the service.

  • You may revoke Google Calendar access at any time through your Google Account settings. Upon revocation, we will stop accessing your data and delete stored Google Calendar data within a reasonable timeframe, unless retention is required for legal or security purposes.


Google Calendar Limited Use Compliance

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We access, use, store, and transfer Google Calendar data only as permitted by this policy and only to provide user-requested features.

    • Geo location based on IP address

    • Billing Information; last 4 digits of credit card & expiration date, billing address (paid accounts only)


Third Party Data Access

GDPR Requires that Event Schedule disclose 3rd party vendors which interact with your data. In order to operate the Event Schedule system, the following parties receive partial data that you provide, as outlined in the Event Schedule ‘Terms of Service’:

The below method of account deletion data purge is final, total, and irreversible.

  1. Account deletion: Login to your account. 
  2. From the top right corner, click “Profile.”
  3. Scroll to the bottom and click “Delete Account”

How we use cookies

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyze web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. Our website may contain links to enable you to visit other websites of interest easily. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Event Schedule is not responsible for the data protection and data privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting any 3rd party site linked to from Event Schedule and 3rd party sites are not governed by the Event Schedule privacy policy or Event Schedule terms of use.


Newsletter & Removal

Periodically we use your account email contact to send out newsletters announcing new features & functionality for the benefit of your account use.

    • You may remove yourself at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” from any newsletter email footer to permanently and irreversibly be removed.

    • The exception may be (non-marketing news) legal notifications required by law regarding platform operational status, or similar.


Age of Consent Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your dependent under the age of 18 has provided Event Schedule with any PII, please contact us immediately. If we become aware that Event Schedule has collected PII from any persons under the age of 18 without parental consent, we take immediate steps to remove that information from our servers.


Changes to this

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our information practices. If we make any material changes, we will notify you by email and/or newsletter (sent to the main email address specified in your account). We also encourage you to review this page from time to time to familiarize yourself with our privacy practices.
